Madeleine James MBACP Dip Counselling

I am a person-centered counsellor believing that all individuals possess the inner resources for growth and change when offered an environment which is non-judgemental, confidential, empathic, accepting and congruent. Trust can then be built between client and counsellor.

Through the counselling process exploration and understanding is experienced and a person can grow and become whole.

I also incorporate psychodynamic and CBT theories depending on each individual’s needs. I also use creative methods when appropriate especially when working with children and young people.

I am now incorporating Mindfulness in my counselling where appropriate.
